Hood's Finds builds reference material for people who actually put a soldering iron to a board: CB and ham radio operators, amplifier builders, antenna experimenters, and the stubborn minority who would rather understand a circuit than replace it.
What these guides are
Original work. Every volume is researched, written and drawn here - full SVG schematics, real parts lists, bias and tune-up procedures, and the troubleshooting sections most guides leave out. They are not scanned manuals, not reprints, and not somebody else's PDFs bundled up and resold.
How they work
Everything is plain HTML that opens in any browser. Nothing to install, no account to sign into, no subscription, and no internet connection needed once the files are on your machine. Put them on a laptop, a tablet, a USB stick or a disc and they will still open in ten years.

The Builder Tribute series documents the work of builders who shaped this hobby. Hood's Finds is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for any of them. These are educational tributes, written with respect for people who did the original work.
Safety
A good deal of this material involves high voltage. The guides carry safety information throughout, but they are reference documents, not supervision. If you are not confident working around plate voltages, do not.
